Dr Tolulope Alugo

Dr Tolulope Alugo is a Royal College certified Child and Adolescent psychiatrist. She helps her patients improve their mental health leading to improved functioning within their families, peer group and in academics. Dr Alugo is a speaker, an educator, a writer and founder of Saint John Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program

Background

Dr Alugo is a Fellow of the Royal college of Physicians of Canada and also holds certifications in Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry from the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. She is a member of the Canadian Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry as well as the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She has served on the board of the Canadian Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and is actively involved in education and advocacy in the area of youth mental health.

Dr Alugo is a speaker, an educator, a writer and founder of Saint John Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program (Saintjohncapp) where she empowers youth mental health through education of teachers, youth workers, parents and caregivers. She does this through courses and programs focused on early recognition of mental health disorders in youth and the importance of timely intervention. Dr Alugo is passionate about training and mentoring the next generation of physician scholars. She is committed to supporting capacity building in educators and youth organizations.
